Key Marketing Techniques
- The operator uses statistical traffic analysis on the website via Google Analytics (Google Inc., based in the USA). The operator does not provide personal data to this service provider—only anonymized information. The service relies on cookies stored on the user’s end device. Users can view and edit their ad preferences collected by Google’s advertising network using the tool: https://www.google.com/ads/preferences/
- The operator uses remarketing techniques that allow for the customization of advertising messages based on the user’s behavior on the website. This may give the impression that the user’s personal data is being tracked; however, in practice, no personal data is transferred from the operator to advertisers. Such activities require cookies to be enabled.
- The operator uses Facebook Pixel. This technology allows Facebook (Facebook Inc., based in the USA) to recognize that a registered user is visiting the website. This is based on data for which Facebook itself is the controller. The operator does not share any additional personal data with Facebook. This service also relies on cookies stored on the user’s end device.
- The operator uses tools that analyze user behavior by generating heatmaps and session recordings. This information is anonymized before being sent to the service provider, so the provider cannot identify the individual. Passwords and other personal data are explicitly excluded from being recorded.
- The operator uses automation tools to improve website functionality, such as sending emails to users after they visit a specific subpage—provided the user has consented to receive marketing correspondence from the operator.
- The operator may use profiling as defined by data protection regulations.
